Behind The EaselAbout the Artist
Acrylic paintings brought to life with rich textures, bold color harmonies, and a passion for turning everyday moments into lasting art.
Meet Jenna
My name is Jenna. My journey to becoming an artist is complex, one that started with me pursuing just about everything but art. When my life fell apart completely, for the 3rd time, a single mom, recovering from a 5th head injury, I had nothing left but the gifting within me.
Having spent my life running from art, the first piece born of that desperation is one that will forever have a special place in my heart. “Beautiful Boy”, a realistic orangutan viewable in my gallery, blew my own expectations out of the water, and I knew I could do something real with my gift. That piece won a 2nd place ribbon and “People’s Choice” at a local art show.
The next piece was my large realism elephant, winning a blue ribbon and the same “People’s Choice”. It has now been 3 years since I painted that orangutan, and my entry this year won Best in Show with People’s Choice. I have added some more work to my collection, been honored with commission pieces, and I have many works-in-progress.
As I have really found my passion, wildlife and nature is what fills me. I find so much joy in seeing and capturing the details of creation. It is my faith in the Creator that led me here, and sustains every brush stroke.
It is His original artistry that I hope to display in everything I do.COMMON QUESTIONS
